How to nominate

Nominations for the 19th annual Lord Mayor’s Business Awards open on 8 May 2024. 

Businesses and individuals can nominate across all categories where they meet the criteria. You can nominate yourself, your business or a business or businessperson you believe deserves recognition.

Steps to nominate

  1. Nominations will open from 12noon on 8 May 2024. To nominate, please visit our nomination portal.
  2. Simply register for an account by completing your details. If you have already registered, please log in to our nomination portal. 
  3. Click on the start nomination button to begin your nomination.
  4. Select a category and complete your nomination name and postcode. Once you have registered and started a nomination you can log in as many times as you wish to continue or complete it.
  5. Complete all fields and tabs for your entry to be considered. Terms and conditions can be found in the right-hand side menu of the nomination submission portal.
  6. Once submitted, you can download a PDF version of your nomination.
  7. You may apply for multiple awards, provided that your business/you meet the criteria for each category.
  8. You can edit your entry after submitting up until the entry deadline 5:00pm Friday, 5 July 2024.
  9. Should the Lord Mayor's Business Awards team have any question regarding your application they will contact you directly.

Important notes

A mandatory requirement for all categories is that the nominated business or individual must be located in the Local Government Area of the City of Brisbane at the time of nomination, judging of the Awards and the Awards ceremony in 2024.

Nominations are subject to a word limit stated in Lord Mayor's Business Awards application toolkit. Entries that exceed the word limit will be penalised or may be disqualified.

If you are nominating a business or individual that is not directly related to you, the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards team will contact the party concerned to confirm they are happy to have a nomination submitted on their behalf.

Only nomination forms submitted online and with all completed fields will be accepted.
