Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) leads Brisbane’s sustainable economic growth. As Brisbane’s champion, BEDA works closely with government and private sector organisations to enhance and promote Brisbane’s reputation globally, drive visitation, and attract investment and talent.

Through the delivery of high-impact programs and strategic initiatives, BEDA’s aim is to position Brisbane as the number one destination in Australia to live, work and invest. With a jam-packed annual calendar of events and its dual roles as Brisbane’s Convention Bureau, and the Regional Tourism Organisation for Brisbane and six surrounding regions, BEDA is responsible for driving demand for Brisbane as a must visit destination for tourism, major and business events.

BEDA also delivers support and industry development programs for local businesses through the Brisbane Business Hub, while securing investment opportunities for priority industry sectors. By positioning Brisbane as a destination for investment, innovation and development, BEDA delivers economic stimulus into an economy predicted to grow to $239 billion by 2041.
