Destination Marketing

Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) is the custodian of the Brisbane brand and is responsible for championing the city as a globally desired destination for business and visitation.

Brisbane brand

BEDA manages the Brisbane destination brand. The destination brand not only elevates Brisbane’s appeal as a business and leisure destination, but taps into everything unique about Brisbane, reflecting the city’s lifestyle, climate, opportunities and people.

BEDA also manages the Brisbane Content Toolkit, a library of free, high-quality destination content, practical tools and educational materials to support businesses to tell Brisbane’s story.

Campaigns

BEDA builds Brisbane’s profile as a business and leisure destination, driving demand for the city in domestic and international markets through marketing campaigns, activations and strategic partnerships. Campaigns are supported by high-reaching media investment through to tactical and trade conversion focused activity.

Brisbane Favours the Bold

The campaign, which launched in March 2024, builds on the city’s momentum to intrigue and inspire Australians to visit Brisbane and rediscover the evolving city and all it has to offer.

With a globally acclaimed dining scene, new luxury hotels, riverside galleries and museums, tropical islands, ancient rainforests, and a jam-packed major events calendar, visitors are invited to take the plunge and experience Brisbane in a way they never have before.

The campaign, supported by Tourism and Events Queensland's Contestable Grants Program, will be rolled out through various media platforms and partnerships, including a TV commercial during the AFL opening round, to inspire visitors to explore all that Brisbane has to offer.

Operators can leverage and directly buy into BEDA destination marketing campaigns via the Industry Media Agency for Tourism & Events in Queensland (IMATE). There are various investment packages designed to align with campaign activity. To learn more about IMATE click here or email.
