BEDA’s industry initiatives and accelerators help Brisbane businesses in key growth industries fast-track their growth, create pathways to new investors and partners and enhance their readiness to enter new markets.

Tourism Industry Training

Tourism is one of Brisbane’s most important industries, with the opportunity for significant growth over the next decade. 

BEDA is the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) for Brisbane and the five surrounding regions of Redlands, Scenic Rim, Moreton Bay, Logan and Ipswich. In this capacity, BEDA supports local tourism operators to grow their business and provide exceptional experiences, through dedicated training programs.

Our industry training programs are designed to support businesses, create new jobs and boost economic growth while providing more for visitors and locals to see and do in the region.

Lord Mayor’s Women in Business Grant

Brisbane businesswomen can apply for a share of $250,000 to help grow their companies through the Lord Mayor’s Women in Business Grant. The annual grant supports and empowers women to supercharge Brisbane’s economy, with eligible business owners invited to apply for up to $5,000. The grant also brings women in business together to help strengthen their local networks and connections.
