Tourism

Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) is the Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) for Brisbane and the five surrounding regions of Redlands, Scenic Rim, Moreton Bay, Logan and Ipswich.

The visitor economy represents one of the most significant growth opportunities for our region over the next decade, with the potential to generate an additional $6.5bn per annum in visitor expenditure by 2031.

BEDA promotes these regions globally and supports the development of tourism products through training and grants to support businesses, creating new jobs and boosting economic growth while providing more for visitors and locals to see and do in the region.

Destination marketing

BEDA is responsible for attracting visitation to the region through domestic and international marketing campaigns, activations and strategic industry partnerships.

As well as attracting visitors to holiday in the region, we also entice them to stay longer and spend more.

BEDA profiles Brisbane’s diverse visitor experiences, new hotel product, vibrant dining and entertainment precincts and the city’s calendar of major events in key interstate and international markets to raise Brisbane’s profile as Queensland’s thriving sub-tropical capital and future host of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Visit Brisbane

BEDA also manages Visit Brisbane, the ultimate visitor’s guide to Brisbane’s major cultural attractions, diverse tourism experiences, world-class arts and entertainment facilities, hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars, and stunning natural surrounds.
