Dazzling light display decks City Hall

9 DECEMBER 2024

Brisbane’s Christmas celebrations continue with City Hall once again offering a spectacular free nightly light show for families to enjoy.

From now until the 24 December, the annual City Hall Lights will return to share a brand new Christmas story with city-goers during the festive season.

This year’s story is written by Brisbane-based author Rebecca Sheraton and narrated by TV Presenter, Alison Ariotti.

‘Santa’s SOS: A Christmas Rescue’ invites spectators on a magical adventure as Santa's sleigh crash-lands in Brisbane.

In response to Santa's call for help, a group of friendly Aussie bush animals come to the rescue, gathering local ingredients for gingerbread dough to refuel the sleigh and deliver presents all around the world.

City Hall Lights runs every 15 minutes from 7.30pm to midnight at King George Square.

City Hall lights are part of Brisbane’s free and affordable Christmas program, which includes celebrations across the CBD, South Bank and the suburbs.

The Lott by Golden Casket is the official event partner of City Hall Lights.
