In-market reps set to boost Brisbane

Brisbane Marketing and Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) have moved to expand Brisbane’s profile as a destination of choice in North America and Southeast Asia.

The partners have appointed tourism and travel marketing teams in each market to raise awareness of Brisbane and attract more visitors.

Representing North America, Luke Jones from Advocate Travel Marketing and Kylie Robertson from RS Marketing will represent Brisbane as it seeks to maximise North American visitation.

Representing Southeast Asia, Singapore-based BrandStory will act as Brisbane’s strategic marketing and travel representation agency in the region.

The agencies will implement world-standard destination marketing campaigns for Brisbane and improve awareness of the city as a global destination for leisure travel.

The three-year Brisbane Marketing-BAC partnership marks a new era for Brisbane, being the first time the city has coordinated resources to target key international markets.

The partnership is in response to Brisbane’s growth in visitor numbers, infrastructure development and tourism product over the past five years, with the city primed to welcome more visitors.
