More Than 110,000 Fans Attend Historic Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Brisbane Season

25 FEBRUARY 2026

Brisbane has celebrated the successful debut of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at Suncorp Stadium, with more than 110,000 fans attending across four spectacular nights from 12–15 February via promoter TEG Live and The Entertainment Lab. Staged exclusively in Queensland, the 75th anniversary production, The Heroes Who Made Us, marked the first time the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has ever been presented in Brisbane, and the first event to deliver four consecutive performances at Suncorp Stadium.

A Landmark Cultural and Economic Moment for Queensland

Early indicators suggest the event attracted over 40,000 visitors to Queensland and an estimated economic impact for Brisbane of over $60 million. An additional estimated indirect impact of over $90 million brings the total economic benefit to the Queensland capital to more than $150 million.

Minister for the Environment and Tourism Andrew Powell said:

“The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo delivered an unforgettable four‑night season in Brisbane.

“Across all four performances, the Tattoo captured the city’s imagination and created an atmosphere that was nothing short of electric,” Minister Powell said.

“With accommodation occupancy reaching up to 92 per cent across the event, it’s clear that global experiences like this do more than fill seats, they energise the city and drive tourism momentum in line with Destination 2045.

“A spectacular production like this brings people together, and Queenslanders and visitors alike embraced every moment.

“The Tattoo’s four‑night season created an energy and excitement that will stay with us long after the final drumbeat.”

More than 1,100 performers from 13 nations transformed the venue each evening, led by the stirring Massed Pipes and Drums, featuring ensembles from the Australian Defence Force, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, the Scots Guards, The Royal Corps of Signals and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, alongside distinguished Australian and New Zealand pipe bands including Queensland Police Pipes and Drums and the Auckland Police Pipe Band.

A Milestone for TEG and Its Partners

Tim McGregor, Global Head of Touring at TEG, said:

“To deliver an event of this scale, with more than 1,100 performers, four consecutive stadium shows and extraordinary interstate visitation, is a proud moment for our team and partners.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is one of the world’s most iconic cultural events, and Brisbane embraced it wholeheartedly. We are grateful to the Queensland Government and Suncorp Stadium for their partnership in bringing this historic production to life.”

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said:

“Hosting the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Brisbane for the first time has been an incredible milestone for our city. This spectacular, world-class event captivated audiences, delivered a significant boost to local businesses and showcased Brisbane on the global stage as Australia’s lifestyle capital. It’s a moment we’ll be proud of for years to come.”

Suncorp Stadium General Manager Darren Burden said:

“We are incredibly proud to have hosted such a remarkable and unique event at the hardest working stadium in Australia. Events like this don't happen without the entire team working together and the amazing show we witnessed was the result of incredible teamwork by the Tattoo and all our stakeholders at all levels.”

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is supported by the Queensland Government, Tourism and Events Queensland and Brisbane City Council through Brisbane Economic Development Agency in partnership with Suncorp Stadium. TEG would like to thank the thousands of cast, crew and volunteers who made the Brisbane season possible.
