Applications for the 2026 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards open on Wednesday, 6 May 2026. Winners will be announced at the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards Celebration Awards Ceremony at Brisbane City Hall on Friday, 30 October 2026.
Businesses and individuals can apply for all categories where they meet the criteria. You can apply yourself, for your business or a business or businessperson you believe deserves recognition.
Presented to the most outstanding overall category winner, the Optus Platinum Award celebrates a business that exemplifies leadership, impact and excellence across all judging dimensions. This award is not open for application.
Steps to apply
Applications for the 2026 Lord Mayor’s Business Awards open on Wednesday, 6 May 2026. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at Brisbane City Hall on Friday, 30 October 2026.
Register for an account by completing your details. If you have registered in a previous year, log in using your existing account.
Click on start application to begin.
Select a category and complete your application name and postcode. Once started you can log in and return at any time – the application portal will auto-save your progress.
Complete all fields and tabs for your entry to be considered. Terms and conditions can be found in the right-hand side menu of the application portal.
Once submitted, you can download a PDF copy of your application.
You may apply for multiple awards, provided that you meet the criteria for each category.
Applications can be edited after submission up until the entry deadline of 5:00pm Friday, 26 June 2026.

Important notes
To be eligible, the business or individual applying must be located within the City of Brisbane Local Government Area at the time of application, throughout the judging process, and at the Awards Ceremony in 2026.
Each application question is subject to a specified word limit, as outlined in the application form.
If you are submitting an application on behalf of a business or individual that you are not part of, the Lord Mayor’s Business Awards team will contact them to confirm their consent before the application is progressed.
